Live website project
You will design and launch a complete website for a sample or real business, from planning the pages to publishing it online. You can use it as your portfolio and show clients exactly what you can build.
How you will design a website step by step
Good websites start with planning, not with themes. In the course you first learn to understand the business and its customers, decide which pages are needed and sketch a simple wireframe for each page. You then choose a colour palette and fonts that match the brand, and plan the content for each section — headline, benefits, services, testimonials and a clear call to action.
Next you build the website in WordPress. You will set up the theme, create a header and footer, design each page with the page builder and make sure every section looks good on mobile, tablet and desktop. You will add enquiry forms, a WhatsApp button and Google Maps so visitors can contact the business easily.
Before launch you will run a checklist used by professional designers: speed test, broken links, image sizes, forms, SEO titles and descriptions, and backups. Trainers review your site and suggest improvements to layout and user experience. By the end, you will have a process you can repeat for every client website.
You will also learn how to work with clients: collecting content and logos, sharing a design preview, handling feedback and changes, and handing over the finished site with simple training so the owner can update text and images. These practical skills help you deliver projects smoothly and earn repeat work and referrals.
